Design Day Camp: Discover What it Means to be a Graphic Designer
This half-day hands-on design camp at Kutztown University will introduce sophomore, junior, and senior high school students to design as a career and raise awareness of design’s possibilities. The students will explore their creativity and critical thinking abilities and learn how they can impact society through design. Students will learn the creative design process through a hands-on graphic design challenge. The first workshop will show you how to use what you have around the house to create a gig poster by considering visual-verbal synergy, hierarchy, and other basic design principles. The second workshop will walk students through the design process of sketching, illustrating, and printing.
Who should attend: sophomore, junior, or senior high school students interested in graphic design as a career path.
