KUCD DESIGNATHON IS A PRO-BONO DESIGN EXTRAVAGANZA!
Teams of volunteer Communication Design students from Kutztown University along with professors and alumni, design and produce pro-bono creative works for local non-profit organizations.
By volunteering our time and talents we are able to donate graphic design services to help our community at large.
Kutztown University’s Communication Design program has conducted this successful event for more than a decade and over that time, has successfully donated over a million dollars of free design services for our non-profits.
Non-profit agencies are invited to participate by filling out the online call for entries. This entry form allows our panel of judges to accept work that can be successfully completed in the allowable timeframe as well as pose a creative challenge to our talented students. Based on past experiences the types of projects that work best in our format are, logos/identity, posters, brochures, ad campaigns, mural design, small-scale websites, and other small-scale projects.
If chosen, the non-profit agencies will be notified and invited to attend both the opening and the closing Zoom presentation. Because of the educational nature of the event, it is imperative that a representative from the organization attend both.
Faculty, staff, alumni, and the Kutztown University chapter of AIGA (the professional organization for graphic designers), work hard to organize this event. Interested in joining the fun?
Well, don’t hesitate any longer.
